Drinking Water Testing
ALS Environmental offers a full service drinking water laboratory in Kelso, Washington and Holland, Michigan. Our experienced staff has been performing drinking water testing since 1989 for inorganic and volatile organic compounds. We have instrumentation dedicated to drinking water testing and test for all the regulated and nonregulated compounds of concern. ALS Environmental is accredited under the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) as well as state programs.
ALS Environmental is one of the few EPA approved laboratories to perform all five UCMR 2 tests on drinking water samples.
DBPR Drinking Water Testing and Services
DBPR stands for Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule, a rule created by the EPA designed to help reduce the levels of TTHM and HAA5 in water distribution systems.

DBPR Requirements
As of January 1, 2004: Surface water and ground water systems under the direct influence of surface water (GWUDI) serving less than 10,000 people, and all ground water systems must comply with the Stage 1 DBPR requirements. This requirement affects all Community Water Systems (CWS) and Non-transient Non-Community Water Systems (NTNCWS) that disinfect.
